Big Country

We are delighted to welcome Big Country to Innerleithen as part of their latest ‘The Crossing’ UK tour.

Marking the 35th anniversary of ‘The Crossing’ in 2018, Big Country will be performing the album in its entirety including all the hit singles and iconic fan favourites.

Big Country formed in 1981 by guitar playing founder members Stuart Adamson and Bruce Watson

Both native of the band’s hometown Dunfermline in Scotland.

Initially driven by a shared vision of widescreen guitar melody, harmony and lyric, the classic Big Country sound was further enhanced later that summer by the arrival of drummer Mark Brzezicki and bassist Tony Butler.

The band broke massively worldwide with the release of the album’s classic singles ‘Fields Of Fire’, ‘Chance’ and signature song ‘In A Big Country’, which went on to become massive worldwide hits, selling over 2 million copies and driving ‘The Crossing’ to 3 prestigious Grammy nominations in the USA.

Taking in venues such as The O2 Academy, Butefest and Kubix Festival, Big Country will be playing in Innerleithen on Friday the 12th of July.

Tickets are available from The Hub On The High Street, Innerleithen with either seating or standing for £25.00 or call us on 01896 209012 to reserve your ticket as they are selling fast.
